** The new date reflects a postponement from the original date of
Oct 19-20, owing to a postponement of Graciela's US tour for
reasons beyond her control. We apologize for the inconvenience and
the disappointment (we know that several people were travelling from
out-of-state and even from Canada for this workshop).
To summarize the schedule changes:
- Former Oct 19-20 workshops: MOVED TO NOV 16-17 (SAT-SUN) and also
back at our regular location (VFW Hall, 688 Huron Av, Cambridge)
- Former Oct 19 "La Milonga": MOVED TO NOV 16 (SAT), also at our
regular VFW location
- OCT 26 "HALLOWE'EN MILONGA": NO CHANGE. Still happening, still
at VFW, 688 Huron Av, Cambridge, still with costumes (prizes
for best ...). $7 members, $9 non-members in advance ($9/12 at
the door). 9 pm - 1 am.

ABOUT GRACIELA GONZALEZ
Graciela Gonzalez is one of the few women in Tango who has achieved
legendary status, owing to her innovative approach to teaching, while
still preserving the traditions of Tango. Her attention to the woman's
role in the Tango will be especially appreciated by women, and will
greatly benefit both men and women. Several of the classes focus on
the women's and men's roles separately, but are designed to be taken
by both men and women! Appreciating and understanding the role of your
partner is key to learning Tango!
Graciela Gonzalez is widely recognized as one of the most important
women teachers of Tango today. Her teachers are legends of the
Argentine Tango and include Pupy Castello, Pepito Avellaneda, Antonio
Todaro, Juan Bruno and Tete, among many others. She herself has the
stature of the "teachers' teacher" and many well-known Tango dancers
and performers from Argentina have studied under her.
Her teaching method is innovative, and is recognized all over the
world and specially among the milongueros of Buenos Aires by its
ability to integrate new ideas within the elegance and tradition of
the tango salon. Her Women's Technique class is almost legendary--no
woman should miss it! Nor should men miss her equally legendary
Leading for Men class. (Both are open to and important for men and
women.)
She was one of the selected Tango dancers interviewed in Adam
Boucher's movie Tango: The Obsession, where she provided her insights
on the role of the woman in the Tango. Graciela has toured and
performed all over the world, in Europe, North America and South
America. Despite numerous attempts to get her to Boston in years past,
owing to her popularity and busy schedule this is her first Boston
appearance! She has been an invited master teacher in several of the
most prestigious Tango Congresses around the world, including CITA
(Buenos Aires), the legendary Stanford Tango Week, Tangomagia
(Amsterdam) and Tango en Flor (Zurich).
