A Romance Weekend

Imagine the 1930s ballrooms in Europe; imagine yourself there with yourlover;
imagine chandeliers, rich brocades, stained glass, afternoon tea in the
regal tea room, and cocktails in the men's parlour; the Bengal Lounge. You
may be dancing tango dressed in the clothes of the times; hats, spats,
silks and satins, lace and beads. It may be 2003 on the continent, but here
on the Island it is the romance of the last
century, all weekend long. If you're a skier, come early
and ski at Whistler, the most beautiful world-class ski resort.

After Sept. 1, $485 USD except for Canadians. Price remains AT $465 USD for
them.
LIVE tango orchestra in the ballroom, across from the Tea Salon on the night
of the Fund raiser ($30 CAD) Saturday Feb 1, 7:30-9PM.
Open to the public: Exhibition show, wonderful snacks, and introducing an
innovative idea for women to indulge in a Victorian flirting game! Followed
by a period milonga dressed in your royal best from 9- 1:00AM.
Full paying registrants pay only $15 (CAD) extra for show/FR.

Friday: 1-2 intermediate milonga workshop with Facundo and Kely
2:45-3:45 PM swing class with Facundo and Kely
4:45-5:45PM workshop with Eduardo Saucedo and Kikki: beginner to all level
(meaning details that everyone learns at first with tango but always
forgets)
6-7:15 Intermediate workshop with Nito and Elba
Milonga 8 till midnight, recorded music.
Saturday: IF YOU WANT TO STAY A DAY LONGER, LET EMPRESS KNOW TODAY
9:30-11:30 all level workshop with Nito and Elba
11:30-2:30 break
2:30-4 PM interm/advanced milonga class with Facundo and Kely
4-5 break
5-6:30 PM advanced club style milonguero class with Eduardo
6:30-7:45 break
7:45 PM opening doors for benefit . Dancing begins to recorded music at 8:00.
8:30 SHOW with teachers.
9:00 Live orchestra plays for a couple of hours, and followed bv recorded
music till 1:30AM.
Sunday: MORNING: START YOUR CHECK OUT AT HOTELS
9:00-10:00 AM swing class with Facundo and Kely
