Luciana Valle returns to Portland, Oregon April 3 - 9, 2003
From deep within the tango roots of Buenos Aires, Luciana brings
infectious enthusiasm, youthful energy, technical mastery of many styles, and
encyclopedic knowledge of tango. A fabulous dancer, a great leader, and a
superb teacher, Luciana uses fluent English to explain concisely and clearly
how to improve your tango.
Luciana is well versed in both traditional and "tango nuevo" styles. She
was in Gustavo Naveira's and Fabian Salas' "Tango Investigation" group, and
has partnered many of the world's elite tangueros, including Omar Vega, Pupy
Castello, and Fabian.
Portland's own internationally known Alex Krebs says, "She's organized;
she explains and demonstrates concepts clearly, and the stuff she teaches is
all immediately usable on the social floor. She's an awesome teacher."

Thurs. 4/3; Tues. 4/8; and Wed. 4/9: 7-9 PM $40/Person
"Mini Specials" (Any level) Put together (or ask Megan to help you put
together) your own group of 3 leads & 3 follows to work for 2 solid hours on
whatever topic you choose. Lots of individual attention. Create your own
study group. Price not included in package.
Fri. April 4 at Corazón de Tango, 4231 SE Hawthorne (Entrance on 43rd)
8-9 PM Introduction to Luciana's Teaching; Beginners' Lesson -- good for
all!
9:00PM - 12:30 AM. $9 admission includes lesson, performance, and milonga.
Sat. April 5 at Naughty's, 8132 SE 13 Ave in Sellwood (upstairs, 1/2 block
south of Tacoma Ave., on the East/left side of the street).

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM Magical Components of Argentine Tango: Key ingredients
for getting the quality and quantity of dances you desire. (Beginners &
beyond)
1:30 - 3:00 PM Using the Music: Let the music inspire your movement and
connect you with your partner. How to translate what you hear into dance!
(Beyond Beginners - Intermediate)
3:30 - 5:00 PM Followers' Technique: Move with energy, grace, and elegance.
