About Susana Susana is the BEST teacher we know of the Milonguero style of Tango. The Milonguero, or "close embrace" style is danced in the crowded clubs of Buenos Aires. It evolved to compensate for large numbers of couples dancing in limited space. While apparently very simple, the Milonguero style is a rich and complex form of body signals and incorporates deep respect for the music and its varied rhythms. The result is a form of Tango that allows for simplicity of steps while encouraging a natural connection between dancers. Susana will help participants improve posture, grounding, breathing, balance and sensitivity to the lead and follow roles. Her philosophy is one of helping dancers develop unique improvisational styles through intimate knowledge of music, body and space. She emphasizes step and rhythm quality rather than predetermined patterns. You won't find a better opportunity to learn the essence of Tango without going to Buenos Aires! Many experienced dancers say that Susana gave them the thing that was missing from their dancing. Susana Miller is a native of Buenos Aires who has been dancing and teaching Tango for over ten years. She founded and runs her own Tango academy in Buenos Aires and works with dancers of all skill levels and interests.
