Dear friends, If you're not able to attend Tango Fireworks or Nora's Tango Week, you are invited to experience the fun of the 4th on the 3rd of July at Murray's Vintage Venue in Mt Vernon, Missouri. (Also celebrating Mamma Murray's 90ieth birthday.) Serving cake and cash bar. Bring snacks to share.
The city of Mt Vernon will be having a "Red,White, and Boom!" 4th celebration at the park that night. The park is just down the hill from Murray's. We can take in all they have to offer then be on the deck to watch the fireworks. Free Milonga following, in air conditioned comfort. We'll introduce a summer session of tango that night lasting through Aug 21. (The last week in Aug is saved for Denver Close Embrace Weekend). Highlights at the park include: 5:00 pm belly floop competition, 6:00 pm hotdog eating contest, pie eating contest, and watermelon seed spitting contest. 7:00 pm entertainers from Branson, and local choir singing. 9:30 pm fireworks.
