I have built a beautiful free tango space for you, so come on! To further keep your costs down, I can get local housing. Just promoting some serious just dancing. August can be hot and dry, or hot and muggy. I have AC and plenty of ceiling fans and we'll crank 'em up. Robert Hauk from Portland, Barbara Durr from Atlanta, Robin Thomas and Jennifer Bratt from NYC will be on hand to guide us in classes and the best of DJing in the country. Tango Lorca will play for us Sat night for our gala milonga and grand opening of my glass studio. See the unveiling of Tom and Tonya Smith's beautiful tango pose in stained glass. Come prepared to do some volunteer teaching as I am asking my neighbors to be responsible for demonstrating their favorite move, their neatest trick, or a remembered move from their favorite teacher, all applicable to the social dance floor and in the line of dance. Short and sweet and we'll try to repeat it. ( I saw Carlos Gavito do this in NYC and it was a lot of fun.) I expect dancers from St Louis, KC, Memphis, Springfield, Fayetteville, Tulsa, Jeff City, Branson, and so far, as far away as Minn, NC, and Texas. Most are teachers themselves, so an experienced bunch of addicts... So, please come on board! Chart your sails to this middle little island in this great sea of tango friends.
