Fantastic News regarding the Seattle TangoMagic Event! There is no longer a
limit on the size of the Seattle Saturday Grande Magic Tango Ball Aug 14.
Originally we were going to use the Polish Club which had a capacity of 250,
but I just now secured the Olympus Room at the Mountaineers Building, 300 3rd
Ave West for both the Sat & Sun workshops and the Saturday evening Ball. This
is a beautiful gigantic space (4200 sq ft hard wood floor)--and nearby parking
lots are cheap and plentiful on the weekend and evening!

Not only that, I have also rented the Tahoma Room (on second floor of the
Mountaineers Bldg and 2900 sq ft hard wood floor) for a Sat afternoon practica
and Sunday afternoon alternative milonga from 2:00-5:00 PM. So....even if you
don't want to take classes, you can still come and dance, hang out, visit and
shop with the vendors (Tara Shoes, Joel's Tango CD's, Yolanda Tango Dresses,
and Bonnie Lee's Tango Shirts).

Also, in case you haven't noticed, one of the very best tango pianist in North
America, Linda Lee Thomas, will be playing with Conjunto Berretin on Saturday.
Linda Lee is the guest
Principal Pianist for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the CBC Radio
Orchestra. For more information, visit her web site at
http://www.lindaleethomas.com/ (BTW, Linda Lee is also a great tango dancer).

And wait, there's more!!! (Do I sound like a late night infomercial?) Because
the Friday milonga has to end at 1:30 AM, Jaimes Friedgen has agreed to host a
late night Friday milonga at some as-yet-to-be-determined probably coffee house
location.
