It is with great pleasure that I am able to present, for the first time in
Tampa Bay, a very special day of workshops with Maria Cieri, a world renown
teacher from Buenos Aires.

Maria and Rodolfo Cieri were long known as one of the world's foremost
proponents of Canyengue. They thrilled audiences around the world with
their performances and they helped carry on this unique style of Tango by
teaching at some of the world's largest Tango festivals. They were one of
the featured couples at the first CITA in Buenos Aires in 1999 where I first
had the pleasure of attending their classes and seeing them perform.

Unfortunately, the Tango world lost Rodolfo a few years ago and Maria also
stopped teaching. At CITA in 2003, Maria started teaching again and started
renewing people's interest in Canyengue. This is an older style of Tango
that is a very authentic representation of it's era. It is a less
complicated Tango than some of the more modern styles but it has its own
character that is extremely captivating.

Maria will be in Tampa Bay to conduct 4 workshops in Canyengue on Saturday,
July 17th. It will be well worth your effort to adjust your plans to be
able to attend these classes. And for anyone coming from out of town, there
will also be the Tampa Bay Tango Club's monthly milonga on that same night.

Here are the details:
