charming teacher  when they talk about him in the milongas of Buenos Aires.

11-12:15 p.m.             The 7 fundamentals of Paulo and how to use them in 
unique combinations

12:30-1:45 p.m.          Cherishing the embrace

4-5:15 p.m.                  Big and little waltz style elements

****Sunday, January 8th ,  8:30  p.m. -midnight.  Welcome Milonga at the 
Claremont Hotel.  

Following the classes we will have a milonga.  Please come and welcome Paulo 
back to the Bay area.  Paulo will be your DJ and there will be a demo by Paulo 
and Stella.  Milonga:  $10 for students of at least one of the above Claremont 
classes, $15 for all others.

 

Monday January 9   Beginner level classes start at the Berkeley Tango Studio:

3 Mondays (January  9, 16,  23th ) and 2 Wednesdays (January 11 and 25th) (5 
classes in all)  All classes 6:45 -8 p.m. :  These will be small group sessions 
where you will get lots of individual attention in order to advance quickly.   
All the fundamentals will be covered including balance, posture, partner 
communication, the embrace, the importance of walking Argentine tango, rhythm, 
musicality, salon style, beginning turns, ochos and paradas,  and beginning 
milonga.  The last class will cover some of Paulo's most recent work with 
Sylvia Vladiminsky, the founder of tango in Rome, who teaches many of the tango 
teachers worldwide.  These classes will also be an excellent introduction to 
Paulo's style and technique for those who have never studied with Paulo before. 
 It is recommended to take the whole series, but individual classes can be 
booked if space permits.

Friday January 13 : Monte Cristo Milonga hosted by Gary and Nirmala,  Paulo 
will be teaching the intermediate class 8-9 p.m. Milonga 9 p.m.-midnight.  $12

7-8:15 p.m.                              Canyengue- the original form of tango 
with many steps applicable to milonga (this is one of his most popular classes, 
last time we had students flying in from other states to take these classes)

8:30 p.m.-midnight                 Milonga.   $20 for milonga and class

Private Lessons Time is Still Available:   

Priority for couples with some limited slots available for non-couples, maximum 
of 6 hours/couple or individual student.  Series is $480 which includes studio 
rental fee (4 sessions of 1 hr and 20 minutes each).  The series is available 
only for students who are taking at least one group class.  If purchasing a 
private not in a series $95/55 min +$10 studio fee for Paulo alone, $120/55 min 
+$10 studio fee for Paulo and Stella together.  

Introductory special $75 for the first hour for couples or individuals who have
