3p-4:30p: Dancing with the Legends! - We'll watch legendary tango dancers on film (including maestros Antonio Todaro & Raul Bravo), then recreate some of their signature moves...!! Part of Anton & Sergio's Argentine Tango Cultural Tour. For advanced beginners thru advanced dancers. 4:45-6:15p: The Key to Improvisation: Todaro-Bravo System... A detailed explanation of the system and its basic, key principles will be given so that the dancers may discover their own variations and open the door to a whole world of possibilities. For advanced beginners thru advanced dancers.

9p-1am: HOLIDAY MILONGA!!! Anton & Sergio demo, buffet & wine, communal gift bag, door prizes...(plus BYOB, potluck dishes welcome!!) (8-9p: Musicality Class) ....Plus DJ Ilene de Woodstock & the great classic recordings of tango with salsa/swing break.

About Anton Gazenbeek: Born in Holland but raised in Buenos Aires, Anton's passion for traditional tango led him to start collecting all types of photographic and video material related to tango. After nine years, he has put together the largest and most important tango video collection in the world (now with well over 1,500 videos from all time periods). He has written articles for many magazines including those of the Asociacion de Maestros, Bailarines y Coreografos de Tango Argentino, Explore Dance in the USA , and Tango Danza in Germany . Anton is a recognized expert and is frequently consulted by media of all types to collaborate on articles about these topics. He has filmed 4 teaching DVDs with historical material. He is the co-creator, artistic director and choreographer of "The Anthropology of Tango Dance" show and "The Argentine Tango Cultural Tour". Anton has just returned from lecturing at the TransLation Dance International Researcher's Conference in Hamburg , Germany, a 4 Day event bringing together tango experts, scholars, and researchers from across the world to present their academic findings. Anton gives lectures on the history of tango with videos from his private collection and has been invited to give lectures together with major tango personalities such as Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Maria Nieves and the great Juan Carlos Copes, who recently hired Anton to compile a book about Copes' career. He is a sought- after teacher who has taught in Europe and Asia and has recently moved to NYC.

Founded by Ilene Marder in 2004, Woodstock Tango was named the "Best Place to Learn Argentine Tango" by Hudson Valley Magazine in Sept. 2007, and conducts Beginner classes every Monday night, intermediate classes with guest teachers on Thursdays nights, a monthly Saturday night milonga in Woodstock and the Paz y Amor milonga in Albany.
