Chicago Mini Tango Festival starts tonight

Tonight is the opening night for the Chicago Mini Tango Festival. We start at 
7:00pm with a class by Oscar and Mary Ann Casas (“Linear Traspie and 
Caminatas”); followed by a class at 8:15pm  by Ricardo “El Pibe Sarandi” 
Maceiras and Elina Roldan (“Rhytmic Milonga for Social Dancing”).  At 9:30 pm 
we will have a milonga dj’ed by Maria Olivera.  The events will take place this 
evening at the University Church, 5655 S. University, Chicago, Il.  

We will start our first full day of  the Festival with workshops, two milonga, 
master class, diagnostic sessions, etc. To see the complete schedule go to:

We will also have a number of returning vendors, including: Diva Boutique, 
Chicago Dance Supply, Ritz Tango Café, and Soft Chocolates. We also will 
feature an exhibition by artist Julian Althabe from Buenos Aires. Julian is 
also a great milonguero and looks forward to dancing at the Festival.
