Plunging into the secrets of the richest danceable music ever. “You don’t move your legs to tango music, tango music moves your legs”, that’s how Maria summarizes the topic of this special class. When we dance to the “compas of tango” (the beat of tango) we are on the music, but it does not necessarily mean that we are “musical”. Musicality in tango has many different layers, represented by the different instruments, the violin, the bandoneon, the voice of the singers, etc. In this class you will learn how to recognize and use all these different layers to create a dance that is truly “musical” and not just to the beat. 4:30 5:45 Special class: Follower’s techniques. Adaptability to different types of leads: salon, milonguero, nuevo, fantasia. This class is open to both leaders and followers.
