The Claremont’s October Tango Dance Weekend

Dance-Filled Weekend Includes Classes, Milongas, Spa Treatments and Argentine
Winemaker Dinner

BEREKELY, CA (Sept. 25, 2012) – The Claremont Hotel Club and Spa’s popular
Tango + Salsa series is coming to a close, but not before the October Tango
Dance Weekend. Taking place Oct. 26-28, 2012, the October Tango Dance Weekend
allows dancers of all skill levels to choose from over 15 activities at the
historic hotel, including dance classes led by industry veterans, Milongas
(Tango dance party,) Argentine-inspired spa treatments and an Argentinean
winemaker dinner at Meritage at The Claremont.

The festivities will begin with a welcome reception followed by an Argentine
Tango Milonga, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. On Saturday, guests will have the
opportunity to take all-day dance classes and the night will conclude with
Meritage’s Argentine Winemaker Dinner and a second Milonga. Sunday will include
all-day dance instruction and an Argentine Spa Treatment option, followed by a
“Light Flights & Bites” celebration and a final Milonga. The weekend’s
Milongas’ music will be led by local DJ Bobbi Noyer, who has been playing
beautiful tango music at Milongas since 2008.

“All of our associates are thrilled to be putting on the dance filled weekend
that we have planned for our guests and local community,” said Bruce Carlton,
general manager of The Claremont. “Our dance series has become a must-attend
event over the past few months and we couldn’t think of a better way to help
draw the Tango series to an end than with a weekend-long dance celebration.”

Tango industry veterans Armando Orzuza and Nuria Martinez will lead all of the
dance classes over the weekend. Classes are fun and open to all levels, giving
dancers the opportunity to learn proper walks and foot placements in a relaxed
and highly constructive atmosphere.

Spa Claremont will also be offering two special Argentinean inspired treatments
for all of October. The Espresso Mud & Blood Orange Indulgence is an
invigorating body treatment that begins with an espresso mud exfoliation under
a Vichy shower to resuscitate dry skin and recapture a youthful glow, and
concludes with a full body application of pure plant essential oils and an
uplifting back massage with blood orange aromatherapy massage oil. The Mango
Tan-go Pedicure uses essential oils and salts to energize the feet to tango all
night! Treatments can be booked by calling (800)551-7266.

Dancers can join Yamuna® Teacher Nikki Jordan for a 90-minute workshop on
creating proper foot function and alignment. Attendees will see how the action
of their feet translates into their legs, hips, back, shoulders, chest, stomach
and head. Members of The Club at The Claremont can join the class for $35 and
non-members are $45 a person.

Dancers can choose to participate in the events on Friday ($59 a person),
Saturday ($79 a person), Sunday ($59 a person), the whole weekend with dinner
($259 a person) or without dinner ($159 a person). Class size is limited and
advance registration is required. Call (510) 843-3000 ext. 756 to register or

The Claremont will host its last Salsa Sunday on Nov. 18, 2012 for $20 a

at midnight.
