> ... The best dancers, at least in terms of technical facility, are usually >the ones who dance the most. That is a basic truism of all dances. One needs to be careful about one's choice of word's in this world of instant sound bites. This quote might even start a thread. There may be a positive correlation between how long one has danced tango and the technical ability of the dancer. Perhaps this is only a slight positive correlation (maybe accounting for < 10% of the variance in dance ability). However, there are many dancers who have ingrained bad dancing skills over 10 years and there are some novices who have a natural talent. Another truism to doubt: 'The best dancers are one who have taken the most classes.' although the contrapositive 'The ones who have taken the least classes are the worst dancers' is generally true. Everyone have a nice day and find a nice place to dance. Ron _______________________________________________ Tango-L mailing list Tango-L@mit.edu http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/tango-l
