Keith Elshaw of ToTango music restorations, Montreal, Canada, has been flying under the radar for some years. As long standing customers and fans (read fanatics) of his music, we decided to bring him to Australia for Wintersun Tango on the Gold Coast festival, followed by a short tour of the East Coast to help our local DJ’s and dancers understand and experience Tango as it should be. The result has exceeded all expectations. Dancers and Amatuer Tango DJ’s have tapped his lifetime experience as a radio DJ and music producer and his deep knowledge of Tango music in a series of very entertaining workshops. Milongas are filled and dancers are happy. Many have not heard Tango played at this level of quality (both music and playlist composition) and what a difference it makes. One host said, "Keith's visit has breathed new life into our tango community and given many of our DJs something to think about. I've really enjoyed having him here, his DJing has been excellent, very confident in his music selections. His music is very clean and rich. So thanks for bringing him to Australia and sharing him around”. Only two more weeks and we have to send him home. We’ll miss you Keith. You have left quite a legacy. Thank you.
