Hi Linux guru,

Saya coba install VMware-player-1.0.1-19317
di mesin FC5 (Kernel: 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 #1 Tue Mar 14 15:48:33 EST 2006
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux)

Sbg informasi,
Paket VMware-player-1.0.1-19317 sudah terinstall dari RPM.

package VMwarePlayer-1.0.1-19317 is already installed

Source dan kernel header sudah ter-install juga.
kernel-devel-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5
kernel-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5

Sbg info tambahan,
vmware-config.pl sudah saya patch dgn vmware-any-any-update101.tar.gz
Saya extract dan coba execute patch tsb dgn hasil spt yg ada di bawah
ini:

BTW,
saya juga sudah ikuti petunjuk
"http://www.vmware.com/download/modules/modules.html"; and
"http://www.vmware.com/support/reference/linux/prebuilt_modules_linux.html";.
Still no luck..no clear description.

Mungkin ada yg bisa memberikan step-by-step cara menginstall
vmware-player di FC5 yg baik dan benar.Thanks

Before running VMware for the first time after update, you need to
configure it
for your running kernel by invoking the following command:
"/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl". Do you want this script to invoke the

There is probably a slight difference in the kernel configuration
between the
set of C header files you specified and your running kernel. You may
want to
rebuild a kernel based on that directory, or specify another directory.
