Ada masalah, salah satu pc yg pakai ubuntu 8.04, gagal masuk desktop gnome, hanya bisa jalan di console. Tampilan waktu booting kayak biasa muncul logo ubuntu dan bar yang berjalan, setelah bar full kok langsung menampilkan login prompt.
Yang saya lakukan, kuatir ada file2 yg hilang karena pc-nya dipasang tanpa ups dan sering mengalami shutdown mendadak: apt-get --reinstall -d install `debsums -l` Sudah lakukan pula X Recovery (dari boot menu pilih recovery mode). Bandingkan file /var/log/Xorg.0.log dengan pc ubuntu yg sehat (semuanya sama2 satu merek IBM Lenovo): Yang crash spt ini: ....
