Ofcause, there are workarounds, but the annotations cover, as far as I can see, 
all the functionality of the .jwc xml. With one exception: the property default 
value. Why? There is a tremendous difference between

@Property(init="actor.firstName")

and
 
public void finishLoad(...) {
  super.finishLoad(...)
  setActorName(getName().getFirstName());
}

It is very unclear in the code - you have to look for it etc.
Is it such a big deal adding a default value top the property annotation, or 
why do you think its out of place?
