I did figure it out: I wasn't rendering the Submits during the rewind 
like you suggest (I was branching on a property that wasn't being 
persisted). The confusion was just a result of my absent-mindedness, 
I've hit that problem before.

However - I never did get a StaleLinkException - which probably would 
have helped remind me what was going on. Odd.
If I wasn't preparing for a presentation tomorrow, I'd try to figure 
out why...
