Category: Tapestry >Group: bug >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Craig Miskell (cmiskell) Assigned to: Howard Lewis Ship (hship) Summary: ImageSubmit null image Initial Comment: If the image binding for an ImageSubmit ends up evaluating to null (e.g. bound to a nonexistent asset, easy to do if you misspell the name :-)), then the rendering stops with a NullPointerException in ImageSubmit.renderComponent I personally think it should throw a more specific exception, with a message indicating that the image binding returned null (and which component it was that caused the problem). Otherwise it can take a new developer (me) quite some time to track down why we get an NPE.
