A synthetic property is simply a property that isn't (necessarily) backed by
an instance variable. Often they are read only.
OGNL magic:
<binding name="source" expression="{ someProperty, someOtherProperty }"/>
Curly braces means assemble as a list (or array, not sure which). Handy.
Also, note that you *can* pass a single object as the source for a Foreach.
It treats ordinary objects as if they were a single element array.

HI all,
I saw something on the list awhile ago about synthetic properties. What's
the
formal definition of this? (in the land of Tapestry!). Is it an OGNL thing?
Specifically, I am wondering if I still need to have a property on my
page/component that is populated with a single value when I am performing a
Foreach - or is there some OGNL magic that replaces this? [my thinking is
that I DO still need the property - but ....]
BTW: Howard! OGNL does rock!
