For those of you keeping an eye on CVS (who might have noted the lack of
commits re the tutorial lately), here is an update:

1) I've been on holiday :-) [Austria is a nice place :-)]
2) I took my Pilot and fold out keyboard
3) In spare time, I wrote Tapestry documentation
4) I said *spare* time, not while I was visiting and running around the
countryside, so I'm not *that* sad. :-)

Seriously: I've completed (in draft) the sections on forms, validation, some
parts of the 'built in components' section, creation of components.

I'm now working on REAL code for these. Once that's completed I will annotate
the text with various SGML/XML type tags, and commit it.

Yes, so progress is actually occuring!

That will then leave:
* Ch 4 - required pages
* Ch 6 - although present, will require more detail on other useful built ins
- - OR IT MAY NOT [it is a tutorial after all, not a developer reference]
* Ch 7 - Assets
* Ch 11 - Inspector
... etc

I am going to remove the 'best practices' chapter, into a separate document. I
will most likely put this onto the Wiki - I think it's better suited to that
environment as it can grow more easily.

Once I have done this commit, the bulk of useful common information will exist
- - which leaves the 'other' things to document. If anyone has tips on:

* Using Tapestry with alternate web containers (Tomcat, Weblogic etc)
* Tapestry optimizations, or ;
* Most typical method for localization

then please can you fire a short message to this group with some information.
I will mark the message and possibly use it as basis information within the
documentation.

Regards,
Neil Clayton
