Subject: [Tapestry-contrib] Servlet API 2.3
Date: Mon, 02 Dec 2002 15:48:21 +0000
Currently, Tapestry uses no features of the Servlet API newer than 2.1.
What would be the impact of ratcheting Tapestry forward to Servlet API 2.3?
There are features in 2.3 that would simplify and improve implementation of
Tapestry Lite. For example, ServletContext.getResourcePaths() which allows the
application to list files in the context.
On the other hand, not all servers support 2.3. WebSphere 4 has always been
lagging ... WebLogic 6 seems to have only partial support. What about Resin
and others?
