-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I agree with your reaction to the learning of Tapestry. It can be tough especially if you're trying to equate the names it uses for things to concepts you already know from other technologies, or if you are expecting it to work in the same way as other frameworks. However; feel free to try the new tutorial. It's not complete, but perhaps it may answer some of your questions? The tutorial is in CVS only, within <Tapestry Root>/doc/src/Tutorial2 You will need to have your environment setup in order to build it. Hmm, just thining about this - it's not hard for me to stick a version of it online - which I will do. If you are not able to build the tutorial, try this: http://tapestry-tutorial.cloudnine.net.nz/html/Tutorial2.html (I've only just stuck this site up, so if tapestry-tutorial.cloudnine.net.nz does not resolve to an IP, it may be that you have to wait a bit for whatever DNS you use to update) Regards, Neil Clayton On Tuesday 03 Dec 2002 5:50 pm, Jorge wrote: > I've been playing on and off with Tapestry for the past days , and I > have mixed feelings about it, in one hand looking at the bundled > examples, Tapestry seems to be as good as you guys advertise, on the > other hand trying to do something with Tapestry it's proving to be a > torture. > <snip> - -- Regards, Neil Clayton (PS: If you see strange text you don't understand underneath my email, don't worry - it's just my PGP signature) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE97QFELXcfQF3yrNoRApgJAJ9XyJ2op4RukkHR8T7GPQ/ecjUiuACdFws2 s/StO1L3jhKsj+AIXDwOOh4= =DxmU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Visual Studio.NET comprehensive development tool, built to increase your productivity.
