bindings.buttonBlock references the IBinding instance "buttonBlock" for the 
component.

You want to use:

<inherited-binding name="block" parameter-name="buttonBlock"/>

This sets the block binding of the component to the exact same value as the 
butotnBlock parameter of its container.  The block binding is then used to set 
the block property of the component.
