No, Tapestry 4 uses Hivemind 1.1-beta-2 (which can be retrieved from the Hivemind builds or on ibiblio).

I've been using the latest Tapestry 4 beta's since beta2 for a while now and I haven't had to build from source one single time. The binaries are
all there in the distribution.
