I bought the book about 2 weeks ago and have since gone through it at least once. It's quite good but be aware that it covers tapestry 3 and tapestry 4 is on the way. Some things have changed but you can overcome most of that by watching this list and especially reading the user manual on the tapestry site (and being in #tapestry on freenode). Tapestry is great so don't get scared with any learning curve. :)
