You mean just have one mapping for all interfaces?

I'd just map my ApplicationServlet to "/app" in all my webapps, instead of
"student" and so on. Anyway, these URLs are quite brittle ...

Subject: Link URL on Multiple Applications

I've got a program that allows files to be added. Then the user can take those file, by copying the URL of a direct link, and add then into a textarea the allows html. This all works fine until another set of users access this information from a different program in the same web app. Then the static link in the html code doesn't reflect the app they are now in. The only method I can think of to fix this is to parse that html code and replace some special character combo with the proper url each time. Does anyone here know a better method? Also, the files are not to be access publicly. I have the program dish them out after a user has been authed.

Example:

User uses this URL to insert image.
/student?service=direct/1/StudentViewWorkBook/$DirectLink$5&sp=l1

But user 2 that wants to view this data doesn't see image because they're not in /student they're in /visitor. So for this URL to work it needs changed to:
/visitor?service=direct/1/VisitorViewWorkBook/$DirectLink$5&sp=l1
