cleaner WEB-INF

I'd like to place all my .page files under WEB-INF/pages, and all my 
.jwc .html files under WEB-INF/componets. Is there a way to do this 
without having to add a page or compnent-type element for every page or 
component? Perhaps there is there a meta property to set the base path 
to search for page and component files? Or more likely a HM 
configuration-point to contribute to?
