You may want to check out the free chapters of Kent Tong's ebook on Tapestry. They tell you how to set up your environment and get started. They're linked from the website.

That's right - I was talking about HelloWorld example in the quick start section - http://jakarta.apache.org/tapestry/QuickStart/ helloworld.html.

So if I don't need the java file...? Let me have a try. Thank you!

I don't believe there is a java file associated with the HelloWorld
sample.
It is simple enough that none is required. (Assuming we're talking
about the
same HelloWorld that appears in the Quick Start section of the Tapestry
site.)

First of all, thank you for the reply.
Yes, I did, but it did not contain the source file, helloworld.java
(or
HelloWorld.java). After I extract tapestry-tutorials.tar.gz file, I
got
a three directories, "helloworld", "forms" and "directlink". Under
helloworld directory I got "src" directory, and under src directory it
has "conf" directory and "context" direct. It should also have "java"
subdirectory. I could not find any java source code under any
subdirectory of helloworld.

But If I check other two samples, forms and directlink, I can find
"java" directory under "src" directory, and I can see java programs in
that directories.
