I don't know if this might help you but just in case take a look at:

I had the inverse problem and I solved using Hiveutils, its objectbuilder allows you to inject services and objects into POJOS that then can be used as ASOs.

P.S.: Injecting the ApplicationStateManager and obtaining the state
object from the it by name works fine, but this is not very direct.
