What does getEntries look like? If it goes to the database than it
makes perfect sense.
why not:
public abstract Collection getCachedEntries();
public abstract void setCachedEntries(Collection col);
public Collection getEntries {
Collection cache = getCachedEntries();
if (cache == null) {
cache = someCallToTheDatabase();
setCachedEntries(cache);
}
return cache;
}
