Tashi was doing everything correctly, we just didn't have dhcp
configured properly. It's all good now.
One other thing to be mindful of is timing and priority issues, if you
run a dhcp server that assigns addresses from a pool and uses Tashi's
interface module to add entries dynamically. It is possible for a VM to
be assigned an (unknown) pool address from the server before Tashi has
been able to configure dynamic entries.
arp-scan has been great for me though to find VMs with an unknown IP
address, if the MAC address is known.
