I think that SyncML is over-kill in my case. I didn't know that TaskCoach supports SyncML. That is great. I found that there is already feature request [ 1407502 ] "Add data file locking". I have added a comment how I would implement it, if I only know how. I have to agree that TaskCoach should be single-user application and file locking feature should be disabled by default. If the user wants it should go to preferences window and enable from there.
