You need Python (I think it's installed by default on Ubuntu?) and
wxPython (get the latest version from the Ubuntu repository and make
sure you get the unicode version. See http://www.wxpython.org for
instructions). You'll need 'make' to be able to use the Makefile, but
'make' will be preinstalled on your Ubuntu system, so no special
action needed for that.
