A quick look around revealed git-svn

(http://code.google.com/p/hgsubversion/ 
http://blog.red-bean.com/sussman/?p=116 among others 
(http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/index.cgi/WorkingWithSubversion) 
as distributed version control systems "on top of" Subversion.

Should it be decided to switch, perhaps a link to a 
cheat-sheet-for-subversion-users or so should be provided to keep the 
entrance barrier low.
