I think this is what happens: when users have autosave and backups on,
Task Coach may have generated many backup files. Some user reported
having about a 1000 backup files. Starting with release 0.78, Task
Coach tries to limit the number of backup files by removing backup
files that are close together in time. For example, in this situation:

oldest-1-----2----3-4-5---------6-newest

Task Coach will first remove backup number 4 if there are too many
backups. I guess this process is very slow when there are many
backups. So the work-around is to manually remove all (most) backup
files. I'll try to do some tests later.
