My favorite case for max protection of the instrument is the Pegasus. Though expensive, they are the best design I have seen. A Calton broke the peghead scroll off my F5 Gilchrist, so if you get one, beware of the peghead fit. The Calton works fine for my A2, no peghead issues there.
For humidifying an instrument, a violin repairman told me to cut an apple in quarters, put ΒΌ in a plastic bag with a couple small slits, and put it in the case.
