What will happen is that Taverna recognizes it as a "disabled" service. 
It will show up in the diagram as a pale version of a standard service.

OK. So, your problem is finding other services which have equivalent 
functionality.

This is true. The amount of service description can be very poor. You 
could try using the BioCatalogue REST API to search it for "similar" 
services e.g. ones that have the same signature, or the same set of 
tags. The REST API is described at
