Hi, I would like to use an external command using the External Tool Service Plug-In in a workflow and was wondering if its possible to use environment variables in the command. The reason for this is that the external tool is not in the path. Using environment variables would be a way of providing some portability of the workflow.
At http://www.mygrid.org.uk/dev/wiki/display/taverna/Command it is stated that "When you use SSH to access a machine, you may not have the same PATH as when you log into the machine. As a result, the commands may not be readily available. You need to either check the PATH you get via SSH or use explicit paths to the commands.". Is there a way to use environment variables or what would be the best way of calling an external command without specifying an absolute path or adding it to the system path?
