First I thought that it was somekind of wrong configuration of the proxy, however I'm starting to doubt it. On one side I have the proxy configuration inside taverna (with the proper autenthification). Also, after comments from John Walsh, I've looked at the configuration of Java Web start, and they are configured 'as browser'. It does not let set authentification for the proxy. Taverna understands the proxy configuration perfectly as I can see "myExperiment". However, certain workflows do not work. I've looked in details with services work and which one not, and I hope this could throw some light on my problem and maybe some of you could help me. I've taken the services from the most recent Anja's services list in MyExperiment. I've run "validate service" from taverna on "getTableNames" on the following services, and those are the outputs: http://140.105.77.30:8080/helio-hec/HelioTavernaService => Taverna was unable to connect to ... within 10.0s. Eyy! there's a Tab with Solutions. It says, open it on the browser, if it works (it does), then increase the time: Ok 15 s. .... Now it works! at least getTableNames. Let's test SQLSelect.... .... "validating service": Success!! Ok, let's run workflow:..... .... 502 Bad Gateway. Back to "validating service": Service Responded OK! Workflow: 502 "validating service": Timed out Open in Browser: Instant reply! it's there!! workflow: 502, again. let's try getTableNames... Workflow: Port 'response': The service is not executable (???) Validating: It's ok. I don't understand anything :-S UOC from the same place => SQLselect: Service is not executable. using SQLSelect from festung1.oats.inaf.it:8080 <http://festung1.oats.inaf.it:8080> => bad gateway too! http://msslxw.mssl.ucl.ac.uk:8080/helio-ics => perfect! http://msslxw.mssl.ucl.ac.uk:8080/helio-ils => perfect! http://voparis-helio.obspm.fr/helio-hfc/HelioTavernaService => Port response: An error occurred invoking the WSDL service As you can see there's something weird!! I've tried that at home and it works, here at work it does not. As I said before I've been wondering if that could be related with the proxy (as it's the big difference from here to my home connection), but I don't get why some work perfectly (mssl), and others don't (italy and france). Any ideas???
