Dear Madam or Sir,
Are you interested in marine bioinformatics training & workshops? Now is
your chance to influence content and scope!

Since 1 January 2012 the large European Project Marine Microbial
Biodiversity, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology Project (Micro B3) is
running. It is funded within FP7 with € 9 million for four years. Within
the project we will develop innovative bioinformatic approaches and IP
management elements for marine bioprospecting. The aim is to make
large-scale data on marine genomes and metagenomes accessible to marine
ecosystems biology and to biotechnological exploration.

Micro B3 consists of a highly interdisciplinary consortium of 32
academic and industrial partners with expertise in bioinformatics,
computer science, biology, ecology, oceanography, intellectual property
rights, bioprospecting and biotechnology.

Micro B3 includes a substantial training and dissemination component. We
have devised a compact questionnaire, organized into two parts to plan
our training activities. Therefore, we kindly ask for feedback on your
training and information exchange needs on:
1) a set of training courses for young researchers (PhD to PostDoc level)
2) expert workshops focusing on industrial needs
In order to help us identifying the most appropriate content, please
select and qualify those training & information elements which are most
essential to your needs and those of your colleagues/staff.

Please follow this link to the questionnaire:

We kindly ask you now, to fill in the questionnaire before Easter, but
latest until 16 April 2012.
Thanks for your help, and sorry if you received this mail several times

Dr. Johanna Wesnigk & Dr. Torben Stührmann
