Donal is right. I changed my settings back to 'In Memory' and 'with 
Provenance' and my 10 events executed within 13 minutes (compared to 
nearly 3 hours using the database storage and provenance). The other 
test of running with database and without provenance finished after  49 
minutes for the 10 events.
