*** Specimen description:
If a "Quick Template" contains a %COOKIE="..." line, it always brings the same
cookie every time I include it!
*** Bug breeding guidelines:
1. First try the menu "Utilities / Insert cookie". It will insert a random
cookie, properly, even if you make it insert the cookie several times.
2. Then, hit CTRL+SHIFT+Q (who the hell made a key combination for a Quick
Template SETTINGS window, and no shortcut for INSERTING a template???) and
define a template that will include a cookie from a file.
%COOKIE="file.txt".
3. Return to the message editor window and insert your template. Great, it
includes the cookie. Fine.
4. NOW! Insert the template again! It will contain the same cookie! It
apparently randomizes the cookies only once!
*** Possible damage:
Well, sometimes you have some, ermm, controversial taglines, and upon starting
a new mail it would be nice to replace this one particular cookie. You know,
it's not wise to send your boss a mail with a tagline that contains a joke
about bosses, right? And, if you're using an external cookie file, you CAN'T
replace the cookie without closing the message completely.
But what happens if it's a reply to a LONG letter and you've already typed all
you can? And now's the time to send it, and now you notice the oppressive
tagline?? You have to cut it out completely, because finding the cookie file,
opening it, choosing a tagline, and pasting it back in the message, is a HELL
of a nuisance.
