Listmembers:

I really like that the download manager allows me to selectively
determine which images I want downloaded and which not. Nevertheless
there are a couple of things I would like to see improved so it could be
even more useful.

1) It should be easier to move rules up and down

Whenever I see the image download button on a message, I go into the
download manager dialog to see what URLs the message refers to. By
default I add them as 'Starts with' items. There is of course a chance
that a URL resembles one that I already have, so I first go through the
list of URLs to see if there is one for the same domain that I could
change into a regexp that would catch both what I added already and the
new one.
In order to make finding the rules simple, I keep them sorted on their
domain name. As your list of rules grows, this starts to become an
annoying task because rules can only be moved up or down one position at
a time using the buttons on the right. Keeping the button pressed
doesn't result in a repeat action, rules cannot be dragged/dropped and
there also doesn't seem to be a key combination to quickly move them,
like we have with filters.

2) Regexp validation should take place when exiting the field (or on
'Ok')

When you set the match type to RegExp, every character you type in the
match field causes a RegExp validation to take place. This makes for
very annoying entering of RegExps because while typing of course the
expression will sometimes temporarily be invalid. This means that while
entering the RegExp, you either have to continually dismiss the messages
about the expression not being valid, or you have to temporarily set the
rule to 'starts with' and switch back to RegExp once you're finished
editing. Having the validation take place upon exiting the field or when
dismissing the dialog with 'OK' is more logical.

3) Enhancement: allow rule comments

It would be beneficial if we could add a comment to image download
rules. After a couple of weeks or months I can't always remember why
some of my rules were entered, especially when the domain name has no
bearing on the sender of the messages that you originally allowed it
for. A comment would be very helpfull in these cases.

4) Enhancement: last used date field

I would also like to be able to see when a rule was last used to
download an image. This can be helpful when periodically cleaning the
list of rules. Senders of newsletters regularly change the sites where
they store images and after a while the list of rules gets polluted with
rules that are never referenced anymore. If one could see which rules
have not been referenced in quite a while, it would be easier to clean
them out.
