It depends on what folder is actually selectedin The Bat! If you speak about Inbox, look in the connection center what folder is selected now in The Bat!
You can specify multiple simultaneous IMAP connections in The Bat!, there is no limitation for The Bat! - it is up to your server to accept as many simultaneous connections as it can, but, anyway, The Bat! won't open more connections than you have folders. If The Bat! in the connection center has a folder selected, then it receives notifications about changes in this folder immediatly. On the other hand, it can happen when in the interface, one folder is selected while in the connection center - another one.
