I think a real development question for the RIT labs is the question about
exchange capability. Most email clients today synch with Exchange servers in a
seamless and effective manner. Personally, while IMAP is ok, I would prefer my
client to synch with exchange so that information on any device is accurate. I
dread looking at a calendar on one device only to find out its incorrect.

I realize some people don't want to be connected to a server all the time. I
would ask the team to give careful consideration to exchange server feature and
the ability to turn off calendar as a choice.

Finally, the bat does not have task features. The power of tasks, along with
calendar is the ability to synch across devices. Another possible
consideration to move to an allow the bat to connect to exchange for full
synchronization capability.
