Either Ritlabs will improve the new address book or it won't. But perhaps until such time that the new address book actually works as it should (for everybody) - in other words, users don't end up wasting a lot of time trying to do basic things - it might be a good idea to let the app default to the old address book and let the new one be optional for testing.
