Nope, it didn't!
For whatever reasons OE sended the 'internet image' _also_ with the email and
TB! seems to be able to recognize it. If you have a look at the source you'll
see _TWO_ attached imaged. One with 'Content-ID: cis:...' and one with
'Content-Location: http://...' ... TB! seems to have recognized the
Content-Location is the one requested within the one '<img src=http://...>'.

That's the simple explanation of something more complex :-)
'<string>://' at the beginning of a location is the point where an application
got told 'Attention: use protocol "<string>" to fetch this resource!'.
So the OE 'cis:...' is a mixery: it's not 'Internet' to ask for the image and
it's not 'local stored'. I can't remember if Netscape does show the images OE
embeds. I have to take a look at the RFC's too to be shure if 'cis:...' is a
special 'sub-protocol' to make the MUA recognize 'It's part of the mail, look
at the attached content for this Content-ID!' ... but as TB! seems to handle
it this way I think it's something similar to it (even if it's not written in
a RFC it seems to be some kind of standard meanwhile).
