  It  *very*  useful, if you want to share some mail with other people in a
LAN  and  you  don't  want  to share entire account. You just create common
folder  on a network (shared) drive. You could do it before, but you had to
create "fake" account or play with permissions on a Network.
  Also  I  copied  to  common  folders letters I didn't want to delete from
cancelled account and was able to delete this account.
